Partners
A number of partners are joining to support the development of this new cluster. These include Nortech, Kent State University, the Ohio Polymer Strategy Council, PolymerOhio, the Center for Multifunctional Polymer Nanomaterials and Devices (CMPND), the University of Akron and TeamNeo. We have submitted letters of intent for two Research Commercialization Programs, RCP, to Ohio’s Third Frontier Project and plan to submit a proposal for business attraction when the competition is announced. The contribution of each partner is listed below:
NorTech: Coordination of the process and integration with overall regional development strategy, through the Technology Leaders’ Group
Kent State University: Liquid crystal research and technology, business support, regional economic development and education outreach. (RCP for Flexible Displays).
Center for Multifuctional Polymer Nanomaterials and Devices (CMPND): research and development in optical films and materials, web based manufacturing support.
Ohio Polymer Strategy Council / PolymerOhio: Communication with and support of the regional polymer industry, connection with CMPND.
University of Akron: polymer research and development, business support, regional economic development and education outreach (RCP for Polyimides)
Team NEO: marketing and business attraction.
